Medical Oxygen, Nitrogen Protoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, Mix Gas, Helium, Acetylene, Hydrogen Medical Air supply system is used to supply the relevant gas needs of the hospital from a source. The working principles of these systems are almost the same. The only difference is the gas contained in the cylinder used in the system. These compressed gases are used in operating theaters, intensive care units, in vitro fertilization centers, baby care units, emergency departments, patient rooms, laboratories and in the required areas. The gases are stored under high pressure in a cylinder connected to the supply system. The gas pressure varies according to the type of gas contained in the cylinders. The system capacity varies according to the need of medical gas usage of the hospital.
Gas supply systems with cylinders have been manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 7396-1: 2007, EN ISO 11197: 2016, EN ISO 7396-2: 2007 standards.
All our solutions are complying with different type of standards (European – ISO 7396-1, British – HTM 0201)
As professionals in projects designing and installation of medical gas pipeline systems, we provide you with a wide range of products, equipment and services in addition to the supply of medical gases. AF provides top notch products and services ensuring the safety of our customers and patients and the reliability of supply.
MGPS Components:
1. Main Gas Stations
The high pressure gas station which is especially designed for medical gas distribution, has a fully automatic switch-over system to provide a continuous supply to medical gas networks. Whether from cylinders or bundles of cylinders, the high pressure gas station can be used as a main source or as a backup for hospitals gas pipeline systems.
- Medical Compressed Air Stations
Whether as an integrated part of MGPS or a stand alone, the Medical Compressed Air Stations are designed for the production and supply of medical air on site . At AF we provide services for Air stations starting from the installation to maintenance (preventive & corrective).
- Medical Vacuum Stations
Designed for the production of vacuum for the aspiration of secretions. At AF we provide services for Vacuum stations starting from the installation to maintenance (preventive & corrective).
- Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems
The Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems allows for the Safe venting of anesthetic gases not absorbed or rejected by the patient to the outside of the operating room.
5. Cryogenic Tanks
They are tanks used for the storage of liquefied gases. Their dimensions allow for the storage of large amounts of gas, thus making them the most suitable solution for high consumption of gases at hospitals.
6. Medical Copper Pipes
They distribute medical gases and vacuum the different from sources to the outlets through the pipes. The specifications of the copper pipes is in compliance with international standards.
- Pressure Regulator
Used to stabilize and reduce the network pressure. The pressure regulator allows safe pressure reduction of medical gases from medium to low pressure. Pressure regulars provide the network backup connection in case of an emergency.
- Valves
Only with a quarter turn, Ball valves are used to isolate medical gas networks and ensure optimum safety during maintenance. Valves are degreased and are Medical O2 compatible.
- Alarms
Alarms ensure the monitoring of the supply sources, distribution of medical gasses and stations pressure levels. They indicate errors via audible, and visual signals.
- Zone Valve Box with or without Alarm
They provide a single solution for monitoring and controlling the gas supply for individual areas of the hospitals. They provide an emergency connection to supply critical areas in case of main source failure.
- Medical gas Outlets
They allow gas management and can be installed on the wall, built-in or in bed head units. They are used for quick connections to the medical gas network. The outlets are the main source of essential gas for the patient. All outlets are designed in compliance with French NF standard and German DIN standard.
